Someone's selling a Peavey PV8 on Basschat for £60 shipped. No FX, but I have a little Peavey mixer (older version) and it's really well made.

I bought a Behringer UB1202 off a BCer and it does the job (mixes the EUB, a fretless, and the Ashbory so I can just pick up and play) very well.

Okay tried out most of the PA at practice on thursday. Very impressed with the Mackie Thumps. Really good value and a breeze to move. Behringer monitor worked well too. Didn't have the right leads to use the desk but the speakers worked great.
